George and Charlotte Hay, a husband-and-wife team of actors, struggle through family crises, egos and the new pariah of TV, to run a shoestring theatre company off-off-off Broadway. Currently performing “Cyrano de Bergerac” and “Private Lives” in repertory, they stew over low box office receipts and the possibility of a Hollywood director’s visit. What could go wrong? It makes for a laugh-filled evening, as well as a cautionary tale about working with family.
