AlpinFilm is the Teton Climbers' Coalition's annual mountain film festival, held January 16–17 at the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts. Rooted in Jackson Hole's long history of climbing and mountain travel, the festival brings together films, athletes, filmmakers, and storytellers to explore adventure, public lands, and why these places matter. The 2026 festival features the world premiere of A Life Outside: American Mountain Guides, alongside a curated selection of films focused on climbing, skiing, and backcountry exploration. Athletes and filmmakers, including Anna Gibson, Erik Boomer, and Kelly Halpin, will be in attendance for conversations and Q and As that connect personal experience in the mountains with stewardship of the landscapes where those stories unfold. In addition to film screenings, AlpinFilm includes a writers workshop led by Jackson Hole Writers. The workshop offers participants practical tools for telling outdoor stories, from short essays to social media, with a focus on clear, honest storytelling rooted in lived experience. AlpinFilm welcomes both locals and winter visitors and reflects Jackson's role as a center of American mountaineering culture. All proceeds support the Teton Climbers' Coalition, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that stewards, advocates for, and engages the Teton climbing community.
