Waterville Creates is excited to host the spring 2025 Maine Art Education Association conference, April 4–6, in partnership with the Colby College Museum of Art and Colby Arts. A record number of art teachers will attend this year! The evening is open to the public to enjoy refreshments, curator talks, and crafting at the movies.

Join us for a special free screening of the beloved Pixar animated film Up, paired with an art activity! This screening is inspired by the exhibition Square + Triangle: Home in the Colby Museum’s Collection, which is on view until April 21 at the Joan Dignam Schmaltz Gallery of Art. Theater lights will remain partially dimmed during the screening and visitors are welcome to bring their own craft project or participate in an art activity provided by the Colby Museum and inspired by the current exhibition.

First Fridays celebrate the vibrant creativity in Waterville through a wide array of arts experiences. On the first Friday of every month, visit Main Street in downtown Waterville to meet artists, see performances, listen to live music, eat delicious food, shop at local businesses, enjoy the arts, and come together as a community.
