Saturday, Apr 20, 2024 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Massillon Museum
121 Lincoln Way East
330-833-4061

Children in second grade and older are invited to join Ke’Aunte Harris as she leads a free art workshop focused on building self-confidence on Saturday, April 20, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. This workshop will connect with the themes of the 2024 NEA Big Read book, Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi.

Ke'Aunte Harris, owner of BeYoutiful Weirdo, uses art projects to help children express who they are and how they are feeling along with discussions based on lifestyle and life skills. She encourages positivity and speaking affirmations. It is very important to love who we are the way we are. When we have the confidence, we can accomplish our goals!

This program is happening in conjunction with the 2024 NEA Big Read. For seventeen consecutive years, the Massillon Museum has been honored to be awarded the NEA Big Read grant. NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
