The Buttonwood Tree presents the musical showcase of locally raised singer-songwriter Ashley Hamel, with opening sets by Neon Amor and Melanie Champagne.
Ashley Aisyah Hamel is an Indonesian-American singer songwriter and actor. Her music combines powerful pop vocals with authentic songwriting and an infectious stage presence. She is now based in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she is working on her next album and working as a professional musician and musical theater actor.
Neon Amor is an audiovisual artist, with a relaxed demeanor and a head full of wonders."What I find myself caring about more and more is community, building ways that we can survive in the changing times. I can’t help but notice the lack of support we on a local level are receiving from our federal government.Because of such I think it’s on us to create what we seek."
Melanie Champagne is a singer-songwriter, artist, and art educator based out of Collinsville, Connecticut. Her songs stem from personal experience and as a result offer a reflective and dreamlike quality to them. Currently she is recording an EP, performing, and daydreaming while she finds her place in this world.
