Canyonland, a band of Atlanta friends formed in October 2021 out of pandemic boredom, plays the greatest hits of 1970’s Laurel Canyon, California.
Because of it’s easy SoCal vibe and cheap rent, Laurel Canyon became the music mecca of the late 60’s and 70’s where talented twenty- something singer songwriters converged and together created a new music genre called country rock. Some lived together, wrote together, sang and performed together and slept together… no excuses needed, as it was on the heels of the 60’s “free love” movement.
