Artist Daryl Howard discusses her work and its connection to the history of Ukiyo-e
Daryl Howard will speak at the Museum on August 10, 2025 about her work and its connection to the history of Ukiyo-e. She will provide an in-depth exploration of the history of Japan’s most influential artform and will share her own artistic journey, from growing up in San Antonio, Texas to her stint as a young art teacher in Tokyo Japan, followed by apprenticeship to Master Hodaka Yoshida.
The conversation will be held in the NCHM Exhibit Room surrounded by Howard’s exhibition, The Floating World: Texas to Tokyo. The Museum will be open for regular opening hours, 11AM - 4PM. Arrive ahead of the Talk to see the exhibit.
