Deeply Rooted Dance Theater makes its Cincinnati premiere, presented by Mutual Dance Theatre. Hailed as a "major force" in Chicago's dance scene, and described as richly dramatic, riveting, and culturally resonant, Deeply Rooted's 16-member company commands the stage.

The historied company (established in 1996) blends classical, modern, American, and African American traditions to tell stories that are at once thrilling and thoughtful.

A rare chance to see one of the country’s rising dance companies, our presentation of Deeply Rooted Dance Theater opens Mutual Dance Theater's Embrace: A Season of Connection.

The company will be performing several works including Sacred Spaces, a dynamic work that calls us to look inside ourselves and witness the power of vulnerability, presence, and the sacred act of staying open.
