Learn the basics of design to help transform your tired landscape into a modern masterpiece with Horticulturist Isaiah Smith. He will show you the steps to reduce maintenance, encourage functionality, and above all add beauty to your yard. (Open to questions 11:30 – 11:45)

2:15 PM - 3:30 PM: Tough Trees for Wyoming
Horticulturist Jessica Friis will discuss the Superstars of the High Plains Arboretum, trees that have thrived in Cheyenne’s tough climate with minimal care and irrigation over the past 4 decades. The High Plains Arboretum has a fascinating history and the research conducted there from 1930-1974 made a major contribution to horticulture on the High Plains. Emphasis will be placed on trees that are commercially available.
