Ellen Rowe's Annual Mother's Day Concert – A Mother's Day Celebration: Celebrating the Music of Mary Lou Williams

We are delighted to welcome back jazz pianist Ellen Rowe for her annual Mother’s Day Concert. This year, Ellen is joined by vocalist Sunny Wilkinson with bassist Marion Hayden, trumpeter Ingrid Racine and drummer Pete Siers for a program of music highlighting swing and bebop icon, Mary Lou Williams! Regarded as one of the greatest jazz pianists, composers, and arrangers of all time and dubbed “The Lady Who Swings the Band,” Williams also devoted herself to aiding musicians in need and teaching younger generations about jazz’s rich African American heritage. Celebrate Mother’s Day this year with a gift of music honoring this iconic woman in jazz!
