The festival's second Showcase opens with Mexican-Canadian composer Luiz Ramirez's award-winning duo "Azure" for viola and piano, which colorfully depicts the weather during a school year in Canada. Following is Cesar Franck's celebrated Sonata in A major for violin and piano, written for the virtuoso violinist Eugene Ysaye as a wedding gift! The ECCMF faculty come together to end the evening with Mozart's masterful Piano Quartet in G minor, which contains a melody guaranteed to have you humming in on the way home.
All ECCMF 2025 concerts are free to celebrate the festival's 5th year of presenting in-person concerts! Reserving tickets for events taking place in Tyler Recital Hall is highly recommended.
