You leave the list on her pillow. You know she’s read it because she corrects your spelling. Soon, the list becomes something bigger than you could’ve imagined.

Every Brilliant Thing is a powerful, funny, and uplifting one-person play by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe. Told with intimacy and immediacy, this deeply human story explores the lengths we go to for the people we love—and how the smallest things in life can carry us through the darkest times.

Burbage Theatre Co opens its 14th Season with this unforgettable theatrical experience, directed by Angela Brazil and starring Stephen Thorne—two of Rhode Island’s most celebrated theatre artists. Their collaboration brings a remarkable depth of empathy and humor to a story that speaks directly to the heart.

Performed in the Wendy Overly Studio Theatre, Burbage’s black box space in Pawtucket, this production surrounds the audience with warmth, honesty, and shared experience.
