Walker Fine Art is pleased to present ENTANGLEMENT, an exhibition exploring the intricate connections between identity, memory, and the experiences that shape our inner and outer worlds. Through unique materials, gestures, and symbols, these six artists delve into abstraction to engage with profound themes of interconnectedness, sparking reflection on our individual and collective existence. The work reimagines the fragments of life as elements of a cohesive whole, blurring the boundaries between past and present, natural and artificial, as well as the physical and spiritual.

Featuring:

DEIDRE ADAM’S abstract paintings are meditative explorations in line, shape, color, scale, and balance. Her current work introduces hand-written forms—an invented language blending English with hints of other scripts. Through her mark-making, Adams navigates life’s turbulence in a restorative process, offering beauty and reflection within each piece.

Using ceramics and scale, BRANDON REESE challenges boundaries and playfully defines space. His art seeks to embrace the marks of its creation, celebrating imperfections as a testament to the journey and beauty of the process.

FARIDA HUGHES creates paintings and interdisciplinary artworks that are luminous expressions of interconnectedness. Abstraction is her pathway to reflect on sociological themes, in this case in finding joy in simple interactions with nature.

BLAIR VAUGHN-GRULER explores fundamental geometric shapes that embody universal truths and reflect themes of creation and harmony across different realms of existence. Symbols from diverse cultures underscore the deep connection between the physical and spiritual, evoking the mysteries at their intersection.

DANNY WILLIAMS' paintings serve as visual portals, inviting viewers into immersive, multi-dimensional realms. Through color, brushwork, and the sculptural qualities of oil paint, Williams evokes wonder and depth in his abstract works. Inspired by personal experiences, travel, and the dynamic patterns in nature, his paintings resonate with an organic familiarity that connects on both visual and emotional levels.

DOUG HAEUSSNER's latest body of multimedia work revolves around the transformative power of repurposing forgotten narratives. With an arsenal of meticulously collected and curate materials, Haeussner evokes a remembrance of bygone eras, extracting fragments that speak to him on a visceral level. His choice of imagery becomes the focal point of his abstract compositions, serving as a symbolic bridge between the past and present.
