Get ready for a day packed with adventure, discovery, and hands-on fun as Scouting America’s Family Fun Fest returns to Tanger Outlets Asheville on Saturday, August 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Presented by the Daniel Boone Council, Scouting America, this free community event invites kids and families of all ages to experience more than 50 exciting activities.
Highlights include:
Pinewood Derby Races
Obstacle Course & Rope Bridge (anchored by two Asheville fire trucks)
Raingutter Regatta Races
Firebuilding & Canoeing (yes, there’s a pool on-site!)
Inflatable BB Range
Sample Outdoor Cooking
Backyard Fishing
Boonesboro Village – a living history program from the late 1700s
Interactive exhibits with the Western Carolina Radio Club and the U.S. Army, Air Force & Space Command
Crafts, face painting, and more!
School Supply Drive! Bring any items you can to support kiddos in our local area.
Families can also enjoy delicious eats from Hit the Pit BBQ, Kettle Corn, and Pelican’s Snoballs while meeting local radio favorites Ariel from Star 104.3 and Eddie Foxx from Kiss Country 99.9, broadcasting live from the event.
