The greater Indiana PA community is invited to the Spring semester concert by the IUP University Band titled “Voices of Spring.” Led by IUP music professor Dr. Jason Worzbyt, this diverse ensemble is comprised of community members from the IUP Community Music School, non-music major IUP students, and IUP music students on a secondary instrument.
Selections include Ellacombe Variations by Jack Stamp; Praise the Rain by Stephen Shewan with Eastern Standard Trio as the guest soloists; Second Suite in F by Gustav Holst; Dum Spiro Spero by Chris Pilsner and played in memory of Dr. Worzbyt’s father and retired IUP professor, Dr. John Worzbyt; Porgy and Bess by George Gershiwin, arr. Russell Bennett; and Indiana Rhapsody by Robert Bernat.
