The New York Times calls Jean-Michel Pilc, "a dazzlingly inventive pianist," and the Paris native – who now resides in Montreal – has built a strong international reputation since the late '80s as a top-notch player, performer, composer, recording artist and educator.
He's toured in over 60 countries and shared the stage with icons like Roy Haynes and Michael Brecker, played in the Mingus Dynasty Big Band and served as pianist/musical director for legendary entertainer Harry Belafonte.
