Central Baptist Church in Dunn presents Merry Thanksgiving, a lighthearted holiday musical that gives Thanksgiving its own moment in a season usually filled with Christmas activities. This original production uses humor and familiar holiday tension to point back to what matters most this time of year.
Written by Discipleship Pastor James Neal, the musical features Central’s 100-voice choir, live band, and a cast of church members who use both their singing and acting gifts to bring the story to life. Worship Pastor Darren explains it this way: “With so many Christmas events, Thanksgiving often gets overlooked… so we lean into the real-life debate about when it’s okay to celebrate Christmas and use it to get to Jesus, the reason for every season.”
Merry Thanksgiving is free and open to the public. Nursery for infants through age 5 will be available during the Sunday 10am service.
