MoonPie Over Mobile New Year's Eve Celebration

Ring in the new year with a giant electronic MoonPie drop AND a LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCE by Clint Black, hitting the stage at 11 PM, with opening acts Grayson Capps (9:30 PM) and the Jukebox Brass Band (8:45 PM)! This free event, in its 17th year, has grown to more than 50,000 revelers filling the streets with the festive vibe Mobile is known for. This year’s celebration will have locals and visitors dancing in the streets to the sounds of a national recording star to be named in September!

Schedule of Events:

11am – 1pm: Kids Zone
Taking place in in Mardi Gras Park – we’ll be celebrating early for the kids!
Bounce houses, a mini-resolution wall, NYE crafts, MoonPie treats and a second line march to see the MoonPie drop at noon!

Noon: Moonpie Noon Year’s Eve Drop For Kids
Let the kids ring in 2025 at Noon!

6:30pm: Dj Dalton Muse
Get hyped at the main stage with DJ Dalton Muse as he plays between acts through 12:30am!

7:30pm: Best Decorated Umbrella Contest
Come show off your best decorated Mardi Gras umbrella for a chance to win a prize and lead the parade. Contest will be held in the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel Courtyard!

7:30pm: The Port City Secondliners And The Jukebox Brass Band
The Port City Secondliners featuring the Jukebox Brass Band will be getting down in the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel Courtyard.

7:45pm: Cutting Of The Moonpie
Enjoy a piece of the World’s Largest MoonPie in the Courtyard of the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel.

8:10 Pm: Second Line Parade
March with us from the Riverview Courtyard to the Main Stage led by elected officials. The public is invited to bring a Mardi Gras umbrella and join the procession!

Countdown On the Main Stage and MoonPie Drop

Moments before midnight, we will count down into the new year while the street party peaks with the ceremonial dropping of the world’s largest, electronic MoonPie as the clock strikes 2025. The 12-foot-tall MoonPie will descend from the 34-story RSA Trustmark skyrise to welcome in the new year and the beginning of Mobile’s Mardi Gras season.
