Phoenix Kingdoms Public Opening

Asian Art Museum
200 Larkin Street

Be among the first to explore the mysteries of two ancient, phoenix-worshipping cultures and enjoy dance performances, Hanfu costumes, and family activities.

Join us for a celebration worthy of the flamboyant Zeng and Chu cultures, whose luxuriously decorated artworks make their United States debut in Phoenix Kingdoms. Dancers from the Xiaopei Chinese Dance school and NorCal Hanfu Association performers in period costume set the stage for a dynamic encounter with revelations from China’s ancient past.

The exhibition opens at 12 p.m.; early birds can visit the Shriram Experiential Learning Center for all-ages art activities or stop by the Citywide Youth Arts Festival in Bowes Court. The Cha May Ching Boutique and Asian Box will be open for shopping and dining all day.
