The Fishkill Historical Society invites the community to the Van Wyck Homestead Museum for two special events celebrating history, the holidays, and community.
Open Museum Hours | 1:00–4:00 PM
The museum will be open during hours it is not usually accessible, welcoming visitors to explore the historic Van Wyck Homestead as the Society begins ringing in the 2026 semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence.
Holiday Open House | 6:30 to around 8:30 PM
Celebrate the season with a festive Holiday Open House featuring live music by Steve Kelman, a reading of “A Visit from Saint Nicholas”—believed to have been written at nearby Locust Grove by Revolutionary War veteran Major Henry Livingston Jr.—along with games, crafts, mulled cider, and other refreshments.
Both events are free and open to all. A wonderful opportunity to bring kids, friends, and family to enjoy history, holiday cheer, and community at one of Fishkill’s most treasured landmarks.
