Andy Heck Boyd presents film shorts featuring hypnotic computer animation and stop motion live action effects using avant garde soundscapes composed of sampled mixes from video games, radio, television and advertising broadcasts. Andy’s imagery plays with nostalgia using popular culture, rounding out a masterful painter-like cinematic experience for viewers.
Beth Heinly presents iPhone captured performance art pieces which take place around Lansdowne, inspired in part by her childhood meanderings growing up in the area. This screening feels right at home with local filmmaker Len Cella’s “Moron Movies” whose comedy shorts produced from his home in Broomall, Pennsylvania would go on to be featured on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” and later on VHS at a number of local Blockbusters in the 1990s.
