$375.00

Students will learn the basic foundations of drawing, line, form, contour and pattern. They will learn about Chiaroscuro (the study of light and dark) and develop an understanding of value scales. Expressive use of materials and self expression is encouraged.

Students will additionally have the opportunity to work with live costumed models.Working from life informs students to create dimensionality on a flat surface. The practice in story telling using the figure and photo references. Students will be using collage, drawing, painting, gluing, fabric any other creative impulses that help to complete the journal of self expression.Students can create as many story pieces as they want.

This is a fun explorative class. I believe a strong foundation in the principles of fine art is where good art starts. From there the rules can be broken and real self style has freedom of expression.
