Greetings! We are excited to announce that the Townsend Historical Society has begun planning for the 40th annual Arts and Craft Fair. We invite you to join us for our new virtual event at this important milestone. Under normal circumstances, we would be gathering on our historic Town Common, seeing familiar faces, enjoying food, music, and the handiwork of our vendors. As we know far too well, these are not normal circumstances. We are unable to hold the physical fair this year so have moved to a digital format in order to showcase artisans, small businesses, and the hand crafted items they sell. We have always strived to be a destination marketplace and are confident this temporary format will be a great way to celebrate the arts. The event will run throughout September, 2021 and feature the best of North-Central Massachusetts. The fair will be available on our website 24-7 and all sales will be made directly through the vendors. We thank you for your continued support as we make this anniversary event the best fair it can be. Proceeds benefit the efforts of our 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We look forward to seeing you in the fall and, ultimately, in person in 2022.
Attention artists, artisans and crafters! We are pleased to announce we have begun planning for the 40th annual Townsend Historical Society Arts and Craft Fair. Current information, including applications, are now available and can be accessed online at www.townsendhistoricalsociety.org/artsandcraftfair/. The Fair is juried to ensure all work featured at the event is handmade (special exemptions may be made for local businesses and artisans who, normally, might not meet the requirements of our fair but whom have been adversely impacted by COVID-19).
This year, our revised event will be a virtual mall, featuring your handiwork among the best of our crafting community. We will feature a brief description of your business, photos of your quality, handmade items, and a link to your website for direct sales. Each participant will be highlighted on our social media, in our newsletter, and within the Townsend community. As an added bonus, we will highlight all participants once more during the holiday season as a thank you for making our online event a success. The fee is just $25 until July 31st, where after it increases to $35. The deadline for all applications is August 20th, 2021. All proceeds help support the Townsend Historical Society and its programs, such as this celebration of the arts. We look forward to seeing your applications and generating lots of interest for this event in the coming months.
