The Southwest Washington Wind Symphony will celebrate musical milestones at a concert titled “Tributes.” Under the baton of conductor Patrick Murphy from the University of Portland, the 55-musician wind symphony will commemorate the 100th anniversary of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue by performing it with local pianist, Julia Hwakyu Lee. The program also includes John Philip Sousa’s Sesquicentennial Exposition March written for the 150th anniversary of America's independence, Dwayne Milburn’s Fantasy on American Folk Songs, and more.
