Twilight Block Party: The Albany Sound with Sheepskin

Join us every other Saturday for the sunset shindig of the season at the Twilight Block Party! Burlington's newest downtown event merges the best of Twilight and the BTV Market with music, vendors, art activities, small bites and more.

5PM: Complete with upright bass, drums, a couple of guitars and hushed harmonies, Sheepskin opens the evening playing liminal parlor music for your favorite dive bar. From Northern Vermont, the four-piece births a delicate and sincere combination of folk, spooky-country, slow-core, and jazz-infused slacker rock.

The Albany Sound continues to delight with Vermont stars Lowell Thompson, Michael Chorney, Pat Melvin and Jeremy Fredrick on the stage. Lowell’s songs make up the heart of The Albany Sound and they complement their repertoire with renditions of rarities by The Faces, John Prine and others. The band honed its sound—a rich combination of American country, folk and rock—with a weekly residency in Bristol, Vermont.
