Cornwall Manor is delighted to present Two Artists: Two Journeys, a captivating Art Exhibit and Sale that celebrates the vibrant creative spirit within its community. Hosted in the historic Paymasters Building (directly across the street from the Cornwall Iron Furnace), this exhibit features the compelling works of resident artists Rita van Alkemade and Randy Leibowitz Dean, whose distinct artistic paths converge in a shared passion for beauty, storytelling and personal expression. The exhibit opens with a special reception on Friday, September 12, from 12–3 PM, offering guests the chance to meet the artists and experience their work firsthand. It will remain open to the public every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12–3 PM through October 26, 12-3 PM.
A portion of all sales will benefit Cornwall Manor's Benevolent Care. Rita’s sculptural Bird Women series, inspired by indigenous cultures and nature, blends avian grace with feminine strength, while Randy’s intricate mixed-media creations—featuring wood carvings, micro-macramé and hand-painted elements—invite viewers into richly textured worlds. Two Artists: Two Journeys not only highlights lifelong creativity and artistic excellence but also fosters connection and community through the transformative power of art. Everyone is warmly invited to attend and be inspired.
