World Renowned Violinist Alexander Markov Performs for Greater Bridgeport Symphony Fundraiser September 7

Join Greater Bridgeport Symphony (GBS) for a memorable afternoon fundraiser on September 7, 2025 at 4:00pm at Trinity Church in Southport, CT featuring internationally acclaimed violinist Alexander Markov with Heike Doerr, Piano and featuring GBS Strings.

Markov has been praised as one of today’s most electrifying and versatile musicians. From performing with world-renowned orchestras in the great concert halls of Europe, Asia, and the Americas, to bringing down the house at NBA stadiums before 25,000 fans on his signature gold electric violin, Markov has a rare gift: he forges an instant, unforgettable connection with every audience. This memorable evening features beloved masterpieces by Vivaldi, Schubert, Mozart, Paganini, Sarasate, and Khachaturian—culminating in a breathtaking Grand Finale on the electric violin.

Meet-and-Greet with Alexander Markov and new GBS Music Director Eduardo Leandro follows immediately in church hall.  Space limited to first 100 purchasers.  

All proceeds benefit the Greater Bridgeport Symphony in honor of Doris and Herbert Harrington.
