Our Mission
Every year it is vital for us to recognize the birthday of Malcolm X (El Hajj Malik El Shabazz), born on May 19th, 1925, through family-friendly educational experiences. Therefore, every third Sunday in May, join us for a weekend filled with activities in honor of our dear brother Malcolm X starting on May 14th, 2022, at Central Florida's oldest Black bookstore Dare Books. Then, on Sunday, May 15th, we will culminate our birthday celebration at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Winter Park, FL, celebrating and enjoying Malcolm X's favorite professed pastime of reading and learning about self at the Second Annual Malcolm X Book Fest!
