Harvest Festival And Livestock Show

Providing scholarships to outstanding youth in our area has been the driving force for the Harvest Festival and Livestock Show. Our Harvest Festival Livestock Show in the fall and the annual Crawfish Boil in the spring raise funds to support our scholarship program. In addition, we have individuals and businesses that generously fund educational scholarships and present through the Harvest Festival Scholarship Program as well.

The Harvest Festival and Livestock Show has now presented over 100 scholarships and awards approximately $55-60,000 annually to incredibly deserving young people in our local five-county area.

Since our first show in 1975, our organization is dedicated to helping the youth of our area continue their education through livestock, ag mechanic, and home economic projects. This has been made possible by the dedication and support of a lot of people and exhibitors from our five county area over the years.

The three days of competition will culminate in the Harvest Festival Sale on Saturday at the Fair Grounds Exhibit Building. The money received for the projects are returned to the owners of the animals and projects. They invest in projects for the next year, as well as set aside money for savings and college.

We thank you for your continued support and invite you to join the Board of Directors and all the committees as we work to encourage and support our youth who are involved in agriculture.
