Skinner Vineyards and Winery is a family winery and vineyards with a legendary history, located in the Sierra Foothills. The winery is owned by Mike and Carey Skinner. The wine at Skinner Vineyards is produced by Chris Pittenger.  We make hand-crafted wines that reflect the unique spirit of the region. Skinner Vineyards produces the following wine varietals:

White Wines:
Grenache Blanc, Viognier, and Seven Generations: Our white blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, Picpoul Blanc, Grenache Blanc

Red Wines:
El Dorado Rose', Syrah, Stoney Creek Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Dry Diggins red blend and Eighteen Sixty-One: red blend.

Our goal is to create wines that have a sense of place and showcase the unique terroir of our estate. Our vineyard's granitic soils, high elevation, and extreme weather conditions make it and its surrounding Fair Play and El Dorado Appelations unlike any other.

Our 3,000 square feet of patio space provides ample seating allowing you to enjoy the cooling effect of waterfalls in the summer or warmth of fireplaces in the winter. With furnishings and design that evoke our heritage tracing back to 1861, including a recreation of the stone cellar from the original winery, our tasting room is truly a special place to enjoy our wines. Warmth and hospitality await you at our mountaintop home.
