he St Louis Water Gardening Society (SLWGS) invites you to join our active organization. The Society was established in July 1990 as a non-profit organization to provide fun and an enjoyable way for local water gardeners and koi keepers to regularly exchange information about our shared hobby. Water gardening is a relaxing but challenging hobby involving an ecosystem with plants, fish, and water. Whether you have a large or small water garden, this hobby can bring beauty, satisfaction and enjoyment into your life.

We meet monthly, usually at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Programs cover a wide range of topics related to pond keeping and water gardening for all levels of experience. Our membership includes novices and old hands, water gardeners and koi lovers, do-it-yourselfers, professional installers, aquatic plant growers and retail operators who supply all kinds of good to build and maintain your water garden.

Our Society is well known for its civic project, the water lily pools at the Jewel Box in Forest Park. We design, plant and maintain the wonderful display each year as a gift to the citizens of St Louis.

The SLWGS supports a newsletter and a website. Membership is $15 a year with renewals in January.

Pond-O-Rama is our major event each year in June where our members open their private beautiful spaces to the public.
