About Us:
The Village of Colon is located in the eastern half of St. Joseph County. We are a little less than 2 square miles in area and have close to 1,200 residents. We are proudly known as the “Magic Capitol of the World” and have a rich history of magic. The Great Blackstone (Harry Blackstone Sr.) made his home in Colon and is buried here.
We are surrounded by water, with Sturgeon and Palmer Lakes and Swan Creek within the Village limits offering numerous recreational opportunities. During the warm weather months our population swells with cottage residents. We host a two week long Magic Festival each summer that draws magicians and fans of magic from around the world.
